Christmas 2008

These are some pictures from California when we there with Gary's family. It is so beautiful. We took some time driving back up the coast. We started out on SR 101 and drove that all the way up to San Francisco. It was the most awesome drive, having cliffs on one side and the ocean on the other. I think Gary had more fun driving the twisty road and every time we'd come out from behind a cliff, I would say, "Oh my gosh, so pretty! Oh my gosh, so pretty! Gary look." And as I looked over at him, he had his eyes intently on the road like Jeff Gordon about ready to win the Nascar! :-) It was fun. We then went to the Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley wine country. We could definately spend a lot more time there, maybe a month. Then we drove through the redwood forests. That was pretty spectacular having those trees be so big. I felt like we were in a fairy tale with those giant trees. The pictures above are of our presents, Clementine in a clog in downtown Solvang (which is a little danish town), a stop along 101, and some elephant seals that we almost missed. We were looking out into the ocean for them, but they were right under our noses. Such big animals. So our trip was amazing. I hope we get to do it again at least one more time before Bob and Jeanie move to their dream home. But I know that we'll always have a warm drive to their house......my parents on the other hand?........

February 2009

Here are a few pictures from when we've been snow shoeing this year. It's been a good year so far, we've been out almost every weekend. Gary got new snow shoes for Christmas, and he's used them a few times. We always ask Clementine in the morning if she's got her crampons on (her claws). She loves going up there with us. I hope you enjoy the pictures. More to come soon!

This is new

To our family and friends,

We miss our family and friends so much so I decided to try this new blog out. I hope that we can keep you posted on our lives with pictures and stories and that when you miss us, it will help you feel closer to us. I plan on taking pictures of our adventures together and posting them, and when we can't talk to you as much as we'd like, you'll be able to see what we're doing. So please enjoy, and again we love you all so very much!
