We're still here!

Hello family!

It's been a little while since I've posted anything.  I'm sorry about that.  We are finally getting settled into our house and getting things unpacked.  It's hard to do while we're still working full time and trying to keep up with Daxon.  He's all over the place and now we have stairs.  I'll get some pictures up here in the next couple of weeks as things settle down.  I've skyped with most of you and shown you the house that way.  But for those of you that don't know, we now have 2500 square feet to house you in.  We want our family to come whenever they'd like.  We'll have an extra two bedrooms and a whole downstairs with our pull out couch.  I also am proud to say that we have a table to seat 8.  :-)  I'm looking forward to filling that table with our families.

Daxon dancing

Daxon has taken up dancing with any music he hears.  Sorry about the bouncing around.  I was dancing with him and manning the camera.  Isn't he funny!?

I think that song has came from someone who lived in Washington.  Because when I sing You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey.......well they are always grey here.  But this day our sweet little sunshine found some.

New things

Daxon has figured out something new.  He is looking the world from a different angle. :-)

February sunshine!

 Mama likes to give me a mohawk after my baths.

 Gary and I took off for the weekend to a place called Alderbrook resort.  It was such a great time to reconnect and not plan.

 We went to the park for the first time and Daxon walked on the grass.  It took such concentration, but he did it and we all got some exercise.  Man do we love that little guy!

 So this is Daxon's bed head.  He is always so happy when he wakes up though which multiplies that cuteness by a thousand!  :-)

 Happy Birthday to our one year old.  We love every minute of his life and look forward to lots more birthday parties!

Snow!!!

January 20th, 2012, and we've been snowed in for 4 days.  Actually more like 5.....and on top of that we all got the colds or bronchitis that's going around so we can't even enjoy the snow.  :-(  We got about 8 inches of wet snow, and a whole day (or inch) of ice on top of that.  Then it snowed another couple of inches.  I love it.  I got to stay home with my little man and play with him.  We read books, drove trucks, and occasionally went outside to let Clementine out.  Daxon loved touching the snow.  It was funny though, before putting it in his mouth, he put it in my mouth to see if I would eat it.  Smart little guy that he is.  :-)  We're all good here though.  Got our power (thank the heavens) and lots of warm food to eat.  I'd say we made out pretty good this time around.  It's Friday and all the snow is melting now.  My students are showing up today and we're all getting back on track.  Please stay tuned.  I'll upload some more pictures soon!  Love you all!

New Years Hike

So we decided it was time to take Daxon up to the snow.  We went up for a small hike, but after a few hundred feet I noticed a boot was missing.  I hiked almost back to the car and got the boot and by that time Daxon's little cheeks were almost purple.  So we just went up to the ski resort and let him crawl in the snow.  What a joy it is to watch him play in the snow.  :-)
