Family Car!

After a week of 'Researching' all on my own, Gary and I went car shopping and got a 2006 Toyota Limited V8 4Runner. We got all the bells and whistles. Things like leather seats, navagation system, back up camera, heated seats, and a moon roof! We are in love with this truck. Here is one picture of it. I will post more when I get them downloaded. Next stop? Babies!

So for those of you that didn't know.....Gary and I can check off skydiving from our 'Bucket List'. We went for Gary's birthday on Sunday. He loved it, I thought I was going to die. Gary paid for an extra 1000 feet of free fall. There is just something wrong with jumping out of the plane. We just fell.....and fell.....and fell. I literally thought that I would pass out. When the chute was pulled though, it was the most beautiful sight. We saw all the mountains, the ocean, the San Juan islands, the city. It was beautiful.

We are safe, I probably won't ever do it again....although it might be safer because at least there aren't bears and cougars running around up there like there are climbing. Hmmmm.....maybe I should rethink all this tough stuff and just stay home. :-) We had a blast. I'm very thankful that I have such a cool husband and he's very thankful for me.

Next adventure coming soon!

July

It's a beautiful July day! Four days before my love's birthday! My summer has now slowed down, no more weddings! We had a beautiful time at our friends' wedding last weekend. We got to stay at a bed and breakfast at a ranch. It really was awesome.....the reception was held in a barn. It really makes me want to live on a farm, raise some chickens and a couple of cows. Maybe I can talk Gary into that. I also want a big garden. Not a garden like Dan and Cynthia's, but with lots of vegetables. Some day....I'll keep dreaming.
School is going good for Gary. He really is a trooper. He gets up at 5:30 to get ready, teaches his one student from 7-9 am and then scoots off to school for a full day of classes and teaching. He's actually working in a clinic with real patients Monday thru Thursday. Then he gets home around 8:30 in time for a bite to eat, then back to studying. He's tough. I remember those days of working so hard....and my mom getting phone calls in the middle of the night with me crying. I definately wasn't this stable during my masters program. I'm very proud of him. I tell him that every day I can.
We have a month before we leave for Ireland. It's going to be such an adventure. We'll have so many pictures from that trip! Can't wait!
Hunter and Bri will be here on the 8th of August. I am so lucky to have that oppurtunity to have them with us. My life couldn't be more complete.
We love you and I'll write again soon.

Squamish, British Columbia

The 4th of July......we usually try to leave the country. Why? Well, it's too much money and too many people getting into trouble. Last year is the only year that Gary and I stuck around for the 4th. He got himself into a little bit of trouble.......and you may have heard the story, but let me tell you again. Our friends', Jaimie and Shylah, invited us to their aunt's house for food and some fireworks. They were lighting off some very loud bombs. The kind that are illegal! We had Clementine with us, and their dog Lynkoln (who is deaf). He is also Clementine's cousin. I wanted to take the dogs away from the noise because it was starting to really upset Clementine. When I came back to take a bathroom break, I asked Gary to take care of our little puppy. He said he would....... Well, while I was in the bathroom, another bomb went off. Guess what! Gary was standing pretty close, 'holding' Clementine so she'd be okay. She was NOT OKAY! Not okay at all. The sound was so loud that it had literally scared the poop out of her and onto Gary! Needless to say, I think Gary learned his lesson. BOYS WILL BE BOYS!

So going to Canada is a lot more fun. We got up and left at 5:00 AM on Friday morning and got there in about 3 1/2 hours. (Normally it takes 5 hours) We just didn't have any traffic or stops at the border. The weather was beautiful and we got the campground we wanted. It was awesome! We have downloaded some of our climbs. Please know that we are safe. Bob and Jeanie, I know you understand this sport....Mom and Dad, just know that Gary would never put me in a position where I would be in danger. These videos show a little bit of what we do when we're in Canada. Enjoy!
